> Reliever Medications

Helps to stop the asthma attack almost immediately. You will need to carry your reliever medicine with you every time you leave home in case of an acute attack.

If you are using your reliever medicine one or more times a week, tell your doctor as this may be a sign that your asthma is getting worse.

Remember the difference:
Your reliever medication provides quick relief during an asthma episode, and your preventer medication controls the underlying inflammation so that you're less likely to experience these symptoms in the first place.
