> Using Your Turbuhaler

tur 1 STEP ONE
Unscrew the white cover and lift it off. A rattling sound is heard.
tur 2 STEP TWO
Hold Turbuhaler upright with the red grip at the bottom. To load the inhaler with a dose, turn the red grip as far as it will go in both directions (it doesn’t matter which way you turn it first).

Do not hold the mouthpiece when you load the Turbuhaler.
tur 3 STEP THREE
Breathe out gently. Do not breathe out through Turbuhaler.
tur 4 STEP FOUR
Place the mouthpiece gently between your teeth, close your lips and breathe in as deeply and as hard as you can through the inhaler. Do not chew or bite on the mouthpiece.
tur 5 STEP FIVE
Remove the inhaler from your mouth, before breathing out.

You may need to repeat steps 2–5
depending on your prescription.
tur 6 STEP SIX
Replace the cover.

Remember the difference:
Your reliever medication provides quick relief during an asthma episode, and your preventer medication controls the underlying inflammation so that you're less likely to experience these symptoms in the first place.
